Festival des 3 continents 2021

After a year without audience, the Festival des 3 continents is back in public, in theatres, in Nantes, between the 19th and the 28th of november 2021 ! And I will attend this year's edition.

Last year won, ex-aequo, for the Mongolfière d'or, both :

  • 精神０ (Seishin 0) / Zero / Professeur Yamamoto (2020/Kazuhiro SODA/Japan)
  • 남매의 여름밤 / Moving On (2019/YOON Dan-bi/South Korea)

And they will both be projected on Sunday 28th of november.


In the lineup, many contemplative gems are featured :

  • Whisky by Juan Pablo REBELLA & Pablo STOLL
  • Alamar by Pedro GONZALEZ-RUBIO

  • And Life Goes On by Abbas KIAROSTAMI
  • Tug by Jon LAZAM
  • A River Runs, Turns, Erases, Replaces by ZHU Shengze (DOCU)

Corrections : I revisited Whisky, and it's too speechy, however laconical, to be contemplative. And I discovered an additional contemplative film : Pedro.

I'm back from Nantes, after 6 days and 19 screenings. What a blast! Great curation, great films, great cinémas, great management, great city... My only regret is not being able to see more films, especially Moving On and Professor Yamamoto.
