"The idea of Slowness and Slow Living has been on my mind a lot lately. This video was inspired by participating in some events at the Slow Film Festival in London with the brilliant filmmaker John Smith. John's film, Home Suite is a perfect example of Slow Cinema with its attention to the fine details in the filmmaker's domestic environment - a 90 minute film that is composed of just 4 shots (and one of those was an accident). The formal idea of a Slow Movement is said to have arisen in Italy in 1986 with Slow Food as a protest in response to a McDonald's opening in Piazza di Spagna. Italy is still at the centre of the Slow Movement."
