These interview clips were in a documentary on Iranian Cinema that I saw on Sundance Channel within the last few years. I cannot remember the name of it and have been trying to find it on their website without luck. I distinctly remember his comments about falling asleep in his favorite films and feeling a kinship with that experience.

This might be the film:

Friendly Persuasion: Iranian Cinema After the 1979 Revolution by Jamsheed Akrami

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0261699/

He's on the TASTE OF CHERRY Criterion.

Thanks for the precision. So it's from 2000? Though the criterion is from 1999. But the footage could be anterior...

There was a complete restrospective in Paris last year, with documentaries on Kiarostami and I don't remember this bit. So I was wondering where it came from. But maybe it a segment of a larger documentary like you say...
